Game Day Communications Manager
Detailed preparation, multitasking like the devil, and producing quality work in an often-chaotic environment are the core skills I’m proud to have matured in this role. As the Game Day Communications Manager, it was my job to ensure anything relating to the press box ran smoothly, this included:• Liaising sponsorship representatives, first team coaching staff and scouts, and local and visiting team press representatives.• Presentation of the match – acting as public address announcer, stadium music, scoreboard operation, and stats keeping.• Promoting the team via social media – pregame information posted to Facebook and Twitter, and live tweeting match updates as they happened on the field. • Producing original written content for the team website including match previews, prominent player signing press releases, and post-match recaps for delivery to league officials and local media. After one season as an intern in this role, I was promoted to Game Day Communications Manager.
