The proposal encompassed UPS battery backup solution, environmental monitoring and defining impact to cooling infrastructure. Working with stakeholders in the organization we compiled business requirements to right-size UPS battery backup solution to meet the current and future demand of the edge network. Projected demand of network bandwidth and PoE requirements required a reevaluation on the demand of existing cooling infrastructure. Deliverables included Site Survey template, network switch power calculations and UPS selection matrix with multiple variables to assist in right-sizing the solution. A final recommendation was delivered based on projected demand with room for growth.
