The evaluation team was composed of Ms. Adot Killmeyer-Oleche, Senior Evaluation Officer ofUNIDO Independent Evaluation Division, Mr. Demosthenes Doumenis, International Evaluatorand Mr. Abdhul Rahman al-Awadhi, national consultant representing the Ministry of Finance. Theevaluation was carried out between February and May 2019, with fieldwork in Sudan (2-4 ofMarch 2019), Bahrain (5-8 of March 2019) and Morocco (19-22 of March 2019). The mission to Tokyo took place between 20 and 24 May 2013. In the course of the evaluation the evaluation team also conducted two internet based surveys (one of Japanese client companies and another of ITPO delegates) and interviewed UNIDO staff at its Headquarters in Vienna.The team evaluated the Investment & Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) Tokyo, which aimed at enabling UNIDO and the Government of Japan to make informed decisions as to an extension and possible re-orientation of the relevant ITPOs, to identify best practices, bottlenecks and problem areas and make recommendations for possible future projects.

The evaluation was carried out between November 2011 and January 2012 by a team composed of Mr. Paolo Bellamoli (independent external evaluator and team leader) and Mr. Demosthenes Doumenis (independent external evaluator).The mission to Rome took place in November 2011. In the course of the evaluation the evaluation team also conducted an extended survey collecting feedback from client companies and both in Italy and in partner countries. They also interviewed UNIDO staff at its Headquarters in Vienna.The team evaluated the Investment & Technology Promotion Office (ITPO) Italy, which aimed at enabling UNIDO and the Government of Italy to make informed decisions as to an extension and possible re-orientation of the relevant ITPOs, to identify best practices, bottlenecks and problem areas and make recommendations for possible future projects.
