Until mid-August, Daniel spent seven years at CS Executive Group helping to change people's lives through securing individuals fulfilling work within STEM-related roles.Aiming for win-win-win outcomes—benefitting the candidate, the client hiring then l them, and ultimately the community.Since the completion of his PhD in 2000, his initial work was in a high-throughput environmental testing laboratory. In 2004 he progressed to providing technical support for chromatography products manufactured by multinational companies, which is where the Analytical Chemistry experience he tapped into when recruiting scientists came from.Immediately prior to his role at CS Executive Group, Daniel was employed by NATA to act in the role of Lead Assessor during audits of metrology laboratories to assess compliance of the accredited calibration activities with ISO/IEC 17025. His experience in auditing quality systems is invaluable in affording insights into process improvement opportunities.In addition to his passion for science, Daniel has been practising various martial arts since the late 1980s and he now coaches the Japanese martial art of jiu jitsu (柔術). He holds several black belts in different styles and he continues to enjoy exploring with others, which includes learning how best to share knowledge through training together in as safe an environment as a contact-based activity can afford.
