GENERAL SUMMARY The Supply Chain Operations Supervisor reports to the Supply Chain Director and is responsible for managing collaborative processes with various service lines i.e., Hospital Services, Technical Services and Home Services. Additionally, this position plays a critical role in supporting dialysis care for patients and works as a liaison between clinical services and Supply Chain to effectively improve clinical outcomes through supply management. This position uses creative and critical thinking to manage supplies, staff, daily planning, and processes that will improve operational efficiency, as well as impact the department’s overall financial performance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Accomplish performance goals by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching and counseling employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and standards of practice. 2. Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. 3. Work collaboratively in identifying inefficiencies and opportunities of supply utilization. Facilitate this by assigning appropriate personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.4. Coordinate and/or perform Supply Chain troubleshooting and expediting functions; and is responsible for communications with department heads, Supply Chain Leadership, and other personnel.5. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Purchasing and Receiving Supervisor and Warehouse Super.

The Hospital Services Operations Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Hospital Services (NKC - acute hospital dialysis).This includes assuring the proper dialysis and dialysis related equipment isavailable for patient care needs and works with Clinical Educator to assurestaff is trained on the equipment. Assures the fluid quality of the dialysisequipment and the reporting to the Medical Director, Chief Medical Officer(CMO), Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and hospital partners. Assures theproper inventory of supplies is available for patient care needs, supplies aremonitored for expired dates, and the maintenance of the storerooms andequipment for preventative maintenance.Responsible for the patient treatment scheduling in collaboration withRegional Nurse Managers. Assures equipment disinfection logs, and chargesheets for treatments for billing are standardized and completed by NKCstaff. Responsible for Hospital Services Kaizen efforts.Member of Hospital Services Leadership Team and participates ininterviewing, hiring, and evaluations for Hospital Services staff. Approvestimecards for staff and assures complete time and attendancedocumentation for all Hospital Services staff.

Evaluated and coordinated organ transplant offers for liver, kidney and pancreas candidates at UWMC. Communicated with the surgeons, patients, transplant center staff, blood centers & transportation. Provided surgeon’s instructions and logistical information to transplant candidates. Also, communicated with transplant center staff regarding recipient follow up, and completed transplant recipient data online to UNOS.

Responsibilities included: making organ offers, per UNet/DonorNet, to organ transplant centers, locally, regionally, and nationally. Organizing local HLA crossmatches, and making logistical arrangements for transportation of procured organs, for transplant and clinical research.

Trained clinical staff on equipment used in hemodialysis. Managed emergency safety equipment. Managed maintenance and repair schedule for dialysis machines, dialyzer-reuse machines, reverse osmosis units, and other medical and office equipment. Also responsible for keeping inventory and procurement of medical and office supplies.
