Agricultural Engineer / Biotechnologist(6) I have been working at HEKTAS R&D Company as R&D Engineer. I mainly work on field crops such as corn and sunflower. Additionally, I am in charge of blueberry, blackberry and vegetables and carry out their requirements e.g. fertilizers, irrigation, pruning and plant protection. Furthermore, I collaboratively work with business development department and test start-ups related to smart and digital agricultural technologies at the facility.(5) For two years, I have been working on Erasmus+ Projects and developing interactive proposals in order to improve Rural Development By Utilizing Renewable Energy Sources, and Precision Agriculture at Research and Development Center (IGEA).(4) In master's degree program, I have been working on Tomato Pure Lines in order to develop new F1 varieties which contains desired traits which is demanded by farmers. We benefit from both classical and advanced breeding techniques such as hybridization, molecular marker development, selections or plant tissue culture.(3) During 2021 Summer (Period: 4 months): participated in Talent in the Business Project and worked on Research and Development trials specifically with Plant Breeders on Bean Breeding at May Seed Company. Then, I took a part in harvest and processing stages of Walnut Trees of MayCev Company. (2) During 2020 Summer (Period: 3 months), worked on Research and Development trials with Plant Breeders and R & D Engineer, specifically on Bean, Corn and Sunflower at May Seed Company. Breeding objectives were, generally, Resistance against biotic and abiotic stress factors such as diseases, insects, drought, heat, pesticide and, High Yield and Quality and Marker Assisted Selection was being used.(1) In 2017, I started studying Agricultural Biotechnology. During bachelor's degree, I gained therotical knowledge regarding Plant Breeding, Molecular Genetics, Plant Tissue Culture and Gene Transfer Methods. It helped me to get a better understanding of biotecnology in agriculture.
