I'm responsible for the running of all IT systems for Dains LLP, a growing midlands based accountants.Day to day duties include ensuring that the 150 staff across 6 sites can work effectively, with issues being resolved promptly and efficiently by my team. I'm also responsible for the entire IT budget which not only includes IT hardware, but also professional software and IT consumables.I help provide advice and direction to not only the Executive Board, who have final approval on any large IT spend, but to the individual departments. I help them find, evaluate and then deploy IT solutions/systems to carry out their departmental duties efficiently.Notable projects include - Project managing the IT move of two busy offices (25 and 60 staff respectively) with zero downtime and to budget.Reassessing all major spends and delivering a year one saving of over 36% on major hardware replacement, support and licensing costs.Helping redesign and improve the hardware replacement process, to bring time savings and budget efficiencies to a replacement of nearly 50% of the Dains laptop estate.

I was responsible for a busy service delivery team. (Consisting of 6 Field engineer, 14 help desk engineers and 4 admin staff.)Day to day responsibilities included, making sure the GCI Derby team were doing everything they could to service their customers, helping the sales team produce technical quotes and create engineering plans that the team would then follow when on site installing new equipment.Being proactive in all that we did to cut down on re-occurring issues and driving down call volumes and increasing customer satisfaction.
