In the position, I managed a team of eleven department senior directors and and an Executive Director. I chaired several sub-committees and essentially drove the change management process throughout the municipality.Key areas of oversight focus were: - Hiring of senior executives and management team members. - Restructuring of the municipal organogram to be as efficient and cost effective as possible. - Identifying key cost drivers & savings within the organisation & focusing on driving these down. - Chaired the Skills Development Committee, focusing on organisational HR/talent development. - Chaired the Human Resource and Corporate Admin Committee, dealing with institutional human resource and union related matters.
