Financial Analyst for EMEA, reporting to the CFO of the Fire & Security Division ($3.2bn turnover). Responsible for setting up all operating and strategic review information. Supported 7 Regional VP’s and the CFO in all consolidated financial information. Oversaw the monthly reporting of 70+ entities in accordance with US Gaap. Trained and supported local management to report directly through Hyperion. Statutory and Group Accounting responsibility, and lead figure in DOA and corporate policy.Technical accounting support for the EMEA Region.Key AchievementsSelected for the Peer Review Program, made up of top FD’s from the Region. The purpose was to analyze our peers business to learn from its strengths, identify weaknesses and implement improvement plans.

Implemented Sarbanes Oxley in 8 countries across Europe. Introduced and training key individuals to ensure the preliminary stages to accreditation were in place. Ensured compliance and integrity of the financial statements.

Interim FD in Belgium where significant risk areas were identified. Managed the local finance team (40+) in closing the ledgers in accordance with US Gaap. Ensured Statutory reporting requirements were met and financial controls were in place. Key AchievementsResponsible for obtaining a Satisfactory from both Internal and external audit, a significant achievement as prior reporting was made on estimates for 14 months, none of the sub-ledgers or balance sheet accounts had been reconciled and 3 FD’s had been appointed and subsequently left.

Retained following the acquisition of Sensormatic in October 2001. Ensured the successful integration of Sensormatic’s operation into that of ADT.
