Hello and welcome!I'm a tech enthusiast at heart just looking for any work that involves me with such. My first real job I managed to get was a job a little phone repair store in my hometown of Kingston, Ontario. There I learned how phones work more internally on the hardware side and I found myself really enjoying the more difficult repairs, anything that would get me scouring the internet for answers. Although my time there was short, I did learn a lot and I keep that knowledge with me to this day. For example, without that experience, albeit short, I wouldn't have been able to replace the battery or the digitizer/display of my S10+ as much as I have, and it's still goin' strong today! After the stint with this repair store, I moved on to a night shift with Tim Hortons. This was more a decision based off of needing some money and needing to get used to working with the public more, and while there weren't too many opportunities to stretch out my legs with tech work, I found some. A frequent issue my location experienced prior to me joining was our tablets we would use to log temps for food and the fridge and freezer would frequently disconnect from the store's free WiFi and couldn't reconnect so they would wait until our manager arrived in the morning to fix it, the solution was to me, at least, very simple. We just had to use the laptop we had in the back of house that had default administrator permissions, to find out the WiFi password of the locked connection it was connected to and just reconnect the tablets ourselves, and the last time I got a coffee at that location, they were still using that method to reconnect them if they were acting up.Lastly and most recently was StarTek, a call center which during my time working with them was working for US telecom giant Comcast, working on technical support for Xfinity Mobile customers and occasionally Comcast internet and television services. Unfortunately they had to pull operations out of Canada so I wasn't able to work there as long as I would have liked to, but working there really got me back into the technical side of things I really liked working with people on. Now I just look to the future, hoping to land on my feet somewhere where I can further my passion for technology as well as helping people.
