I was in the electrical utility industry for over 43 years. I have worked in power plants, area control centers, system control centers, NERC compliance and currently in Power Scheduling. The majority of my career has been in the area of system control on the bulk electric system overseeing transmission and generation operations. I have extensive experience with the NERC and WECC reliability standards. I have written operating procedures for system operations. What I liked most about my career is no two days are the same, everyday is new and you learn something new everyday.

I was a participate in development of the Energy Imbalance Market (EIM) with the CAISO.
