I review of reliability compliance documentation, audit tests, and other analyses of the data and information. * assist with development of opinions regarding NERC reliability standards compliance status. I assist with the preparation of audit reports, summaries, briefings, electronic messages and other deliverables. I prepare draft documentation of the work, findings, and other results in work papers and related media. Conduct studies of work processes and procedures. Identify problems, review production standards, and make tentative recommendations for problem resolution. Review operational and compliance program reports and studies to ensure that user requirements are met and appropriate rules and regulations are followed. Make recommendations for the development of outcomes, priorities, strategies and implementation plan. I was the manager of real time operations for PacifiCorp’s bulk electric system as well as manager for PacifiCorp outage coordination. I was responsible for a total of up to 19 employees in grid operations transmission operations. I was PacifiCorp’s NERC standard owner for TOP-001, TOP-003, TOP-004, TOP-005, TOP-006, TOP-007, TOP-008, TOP-WECC-007 and VAR-001. As part of NERC compliance I compiled evidence and completed NERC and WECC RSAWs for NERC standard compliance. I have development and maintained operating procedures, investigated and analyzed system disturbances and provided training for system operators. I was a participate in development of the Energy Imbalance Market (EIM) with the CAISO.

I was PacifiCorp's representative on the Northwest Power Pool (NWPP) Reserve Sharing Subcommittee. I was a participant in drafting of the NWPP BAL-002 agency agreement. I was PacifiCorp's representative in the ACE Diversity Interchange (ADI) operating group committee. I was responsible for testing and maintaining Grid Operations Alternate Control Centers in Portland and Salt Lake City. I was PacifiCorp’s NERC standard owner for EOP-005, EOP-008 and BAL-002. As part of NERC compliance I compiled evidence and completed NERC and WECC RSAWs to show compliance with NERC standards. I was responsible for DCS reporting for PACW and PACE Balancing Area Generation outages for submittal to the NWPP. I coordinated efforts with PacifiCorp Merchant concerning AGC and contingency reserve issues. I coordinated efforts with PacifiCorp Legal and Compliance departments with Standard of Conduct issues and training.

I monitored and controlled PacifiCorp’s Transmission system 138kv to 500kv in Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. I perform switching via SCADA and issued clearances to field personal and interconnected utilities. I directed switching to the Area/Region dispatchers. I monitored and adjusted system voltage as necessary. Evaluated system disturbances and took remedial action as necessary. I monitored and operated PacifiCorp’s AGC. I monitored .and controlled PACE and PACW internal and interconnected actual flows and schedules.

Medford, Oregon Area

I monitored and controlled PacifiCorp’s Southern Oregon Transmission and Distribution systems 4kv to 500kv. I perform switching as directed by the System Dispatcher. I perform switching via SCADA, issued switching orders and issued clearances to field personal. I would monitor and adjust system voltage as necessary. I would evaluate area disturbances and take remedial action as necessary. After normal working hours I would take customer outage calls and call out personnel as necessary. I was qualified to operate hydro generation in the area.

San Diego

I monitored and controlled SDG&E’s Transmission and Distribution systems 4kv to 500kv. I would direct and perform switching via SCADA and issue switching and clearances to field personal and interconnected utilities. I would monitor and adjust system voltage as necessary. I evaluated system disturbances and would take remedial action as necessary. I was an energy resource transaction trader purchasing and selling energy to other entities in the western interconnection.

Greater San Diego Area

I was a qualified auxiliary equipment operator at 3 San Diego Gas and Electric thermal power plants. I monitored the operation of and operated boiler feed pumps, condensate pumps, boiler fans, circulation pumps and other various power plant equipment. I was also a roving operator that would inspect and operate remote combustion turbines.
