At Datum I helped to write a detailed simulation of a GSM/GPRS network using a combination of BONeS (Block Oriented Network Simulation) and C/C++. The simulation included mobile session creation, Data Link Layer, MAC Layer, PHY Layer and even modelling of channel interference caused by other mobiles and neighboring cells. After M/A-COM acquired the Wireless division of MPR Teltech, I continued to support our CDPD Base Station Product, as well as adding CDPD functionality to an existing digital radio.

Intially hired as a co-op to design and write s/w modules for a CDPD Base Station. After this project was complete, I was offered a full-time position to carry on support of the product, including on-site installations and periodic s/w updates.
