Working alongside a team of engineers who deliver projects through a product development process. In the early phase of a project tasks include, reviewing customer technical specification, influencing early design concepts, writing technical compliance statement justifications and working closely with programme managers to construct a project plan. As projects approach design reviews, the role involves working on sizing and performance calculations, mitigating any design, performance & structural risks using appropriate methods e.g. analysis and tests. The role also involves participating in DFMEA and PFMEA processes, liaising with manufacturing and production support teams to ensure that a design is robust for recurring cost, manufacture & assembly. In the later stages of a projects thr role involves developing test procedures, supporting development testing to verify performance, writing test reports, investigating problems and drawing conclusions.

Working on products that include; complete landing gear actuation systems, door actuation, nose-wheel steering, manifolds, flight control actuation and locking mechanisms.Requirements of my role are as follows:- Support analysis activities and participate in programme reviews. - Interpret customer's requirements/specification.- Ensure that the product meets safety, performance, weight, schedule, cost and reliability requirements.- Be involved in design options, materials selection, compliance and testing, with regard to structural integrity, lifing, non-conformance and modifications.- Review drawings and designs from an analysis perspective.- Provide analysis support to productionConduct performance / stress / fatigue analysis on hydraulic, mechanical and electromechanical components from scratch, with guidance from senior engineers.- Awareness of both linear and non-linear Finite Element methods. - Contribute to the preparation of structural analysis reports to meet programme requirements. - Identify and communicate technical risks to projects stakeholders.- Contribute and assist in technical design and programme reviews
