Involving both pre- and post-sales activities, demonstrating familiarisation to a detailed level with the entire product range to be able to support all UK and Ireland service provider customers. Worked in partnership on the technical aspects of projects, together with account manager personnel, on projects to supply products to service provider customers. Production of presentations and documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences was undertaken, as well as the timely production of technical responses to customer Requests for Proposals/Information. A large proportion of the position involved successfully delivering fully customised broadband networking CPE to a number of Tier 1 and other broadband service providers, generating significant revenue for the company. Definition and capture of requirements and ownership of the process of delivery of an acceptable technical solution both prior to and after product launch was central. Additionally, it was required to be able to keep up to speed with new network technologies and ideas, such as the move into content delivery, higher speed Internet services and in-home distribution in order to advocate these to customers.
