For a leading professional services firm conducting a global business transformation initiative, Dean serves as the Advisory Engagement Lead, Process Integration Lead, and Service Delivery Administration Process Team Lead. The program is a large, multi-year, enterprise-wide process and technology transformation that will significantly improve how the client manages its global business. The initiative is focused on improving Customer Relationship Management, Engagement Management, Procurement, and Finance operations, and is a key enabler to achieving its transformation objectives and overall business strategy.The approximately 250 member program team includes individuals from more than 30 countries representing the client’s four lines of business, along with its Markets, Finance, Procurement, IT Services functions. Dean and his Advisory and Tax team are responsible for assisting the client with the definition and development of new processes and systems capabilities, with the goal of reducing the cost of finance to 0.5% of revenue, while replacing more than 1,400 business systems with a single instance of SAP. Dean’s responsibilities include supporting the organization’s Global Process Owners (GPOs), aligning process team activities, and orchestrating the overall delivery model across fourteen cross-functional teams, including Business Process Integration, Technology Architecture, Solution Design & Delivery, User Experience, Analytics & Reporting, Risk & Controls, Indirect and Direct Tax, Testing, . He also interfaces with other EY engagement teams focused on organizational design activities for the global Finance and Shared Services functions. As part of a prior phase, Dean led Advisory teams engaged to define global requirements, develop the program business case, and conduct complex software and Systems Integrator selections.

Director of Project Management and Business Development

Working as a Department Manager for D. Appleton Company, a Management Consulting firm focused in the Aerospace & Defense sector, Dean assisted numerous Department of Defense (DoD) missions with engagements conducted as part of the overall Corporate Information Management (CIM) improvement initiative. Engagements included those delivered to the following Commands:- North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)- United States Space Command (USSPC)- Air Force Space Command (AFSPC)- West Point Military Academy- United States Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM)- Army Personnel Records Center (ARPERCEN)- Army Corps of EngineersRepresentative project experience included the following engagements:Working with a US DoD entity focused on missile warning, Dean supported the client in assessing its end-to-end business processes. This work resulted in a set of future-state business process and data models used as input for a mobile missile warning platform.Working with a US DOD entity focused on military transportation, Dean supported the client in assessing the current state of their medical evacuation capabilities. This work resulted in processes enabling patient evacuation, while returning medical equipment to their points of origin. Working with a US DOD entity focused on satellite control, space surveillance, air defense, and missile warning, Dean supported the client in defining its configuration management business processes for the network of ground and space-based systems providing early warning to the US.

Working as a Senior Designer for John Meyer Consulting, Dean assisted several clients with environmental impact studies, site planning and design, landscape architecture, land surveying, transportation engineering, and construction services associated with their large commercial projects. While working in this role, Dean delivered the firm’s first commercial project using Autodesk’s AutoCAD (Computer Aided Drafting) product. The use of this technology dramatically accelerated and enhanced the design process, and enabled the firm to collaborate much more quickly and cost effectively with all parties involved in large commercial projects (e.g., Architects, Engineers, Commercial Real Estate firms, and General Contractors). Dean’s work served as a catalyst for the organization in transitioning all of its commercial projects onto AutoCAD.
