I managed the engineering function for a production control system as part of a $1.3bn deep water oil & gas project commissioned off the west coast of Africa. The scope of supply for the team in Nailsea stood at $175m and included a Master Control Station, Subsea Power Supply, Hydraulic Power Unit and complete subsea control system to service 22 production.

• I provide an engineering design consultancy service through my limited company into a strategic division of MBDA. Over three years I helped develop a key piece of prime hardware from a research test bed to a production.
• Comprehensive tolerance and thermal analysis to ensure the product successful meets the stringent specification and functions throughout the operational environment.

• NASA (ARIES Programme – Boeing 757 Research Aircraft)Design and manufacture of a custom force feedback sidestick controller for the NASA Aries Boeing 757 research aircraft. My work involved:
• Modelling assemblies, components, producing detailed component and electrical architectural drawings;
• Sourcing components, managing suppliers and selecting materials;
• Liaising with the NASA lead project manager, providing implementation manuals and on-site training at NASA Langley, Virginia;
• Creating interface control documentation to aid the product integration. This programme enabled pilots to control the aircraft from inside a research cockpit installed inside the mid fuselage simulating artificial.

Design, development and implementation of an integral software graphical user interface tool for the Airbus Component Loads Integrated Suite (CLIS). Developed in Matlab, the software (AirEnv) was used in the production of pressure data on the A380-800.
