• I help maintain one of the world’s largest digital record and editing systems consisting of over 100 Macs using Final Cut Pro. All editing is performed using file-based workflows on a 350TB Harmonic MediaGrid.
• Responsible for supporting the core systems, including but not limited to: Animation, Commercial, and Longform systems.
• Lead engineer on CNN Newsource HD rebuild. This involved integrating an Evertz Xenon router to work with an existing Grass Valley Trinix router.
• Manage the network of over 250 Harris X75, X50, and control systems for most of the incoming video signals into the building.
• I have written manuals and documented workflows to assist with troubleshooting.
• CNN has also partnered with Cisco to use their Telepresence videoconferencing system for broadcasts. I am responsible for the CNN side of the Cisco Telepresence setup and equipment.
