My name is Deanna McDaniel and I attend The University of Alabama with a major in marketing and a minor in international business. I am obtaining my Bachelor of Science Degree as a second-semester junior. While being active in school, I take pride in my academics and community involvement. I have been volunteering for Reading Allies at a local elementary school, where students are given assistance and guidance on their reading, writing, and phonics skills. This allows the students to feel confident about their tasks in school and helps them notice that someone believes in them. As a Chi Omega Nu Beta, I was presented with endless opportunities for networking, countless connections, and a forever sisterhood. Recently alongside others, we started a new student organization on campus, Global Leaders of Business Excellence at UA. With GLOBE, I am offered numerous opportunities and further my education abroad. With the occupations I currently work with, I have noticed that they have supplied me with skills I would have never acquired without experience. Communicating is the main form is success and without it, we lose a pathway that connects from one bridge to the other. I have learned and attained the skills of improving my listening, public speaking, communications, and graphic design skills, and my call-for-action for leadership and progression. I am working and improving my skills for my benefit, knowing that I am capable of performing difficult tasks with the skills that I have been taught makes me confident that I can help others with the same thing.
