Deanna founded a consultancy specialising in government, not for profit, associations and SME particularly helping businesses understand commercialisation. She is a specialist in business events, tourism and the cultural sector. In 2020, she was made an Adjunct Associate Professor (Industry) with the University of Technology Sydney for her work in tourism and business events and ongoing support as an alumni of the university. In 2019, she graduated from MGSM with her MBA and was also awarded a Global Scholarship to attend PCMA Convening Leaders 2019 Conference in Pittsburgh. She is NED Transport Heritage NSW Pty Ltd (and Chair of the Finance, Risk & Audit Committee), an Independent Non Executive Director of the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM), a regional advisory board member of PCMA (Asia Pacific) and appointed expert for Arts Tasmania/Screen Tasmania Cultural & Creative Industries panel. She was NED & Marketing Chair of Sydney Improvised Music Association 2016-2018 and Board member of Business Events Sydney 2015-2017. She led and negotiated a partnership with UTAS (Australian Maritime College) - a first for an Australian museum. Deanna has held senior roles across govt, corporate and NFP including: Sofitel Sydney Wentworth and Accor (Director of Sales & Marketing – Swiss Grand), Tourism Australia (Business Events Australia), Business Events Sydney (then SCVB).Deanna re-opened her consultancy in 2017 which has offices in Sydney, Gold Coast and Darwin.
