As a partner at Mishcon de Reya, an English law firm, I handle major corporate transactions for a variety of clients ranging from property companies and agencies to football clubs and financial institutions. I joined Mishcon in 2010 after spending over 15 years at US law firms in London, so I have experience in working at both UK and US-headquartered law firms. One of the specialisms that I am known for is representing clients on the sale of their real estate agency businesses to the world's largest agencies, and acting for those major agencies too. Having acted on both sides of these particular transactions, I have a unique insight as to what the parties want, how to smooth the sale and to deal with difficult WIP issues.I was the Managing Partner at the International law firm, Coudert Brothers when in 2005, I led a team of over 70 lawyers and staff in London, and Moscow, Paris and New York to Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe. After 5 years at Orrick, I was attracted by the draw of a dynamic, successful English law firm with an emphasis on entrepreneurial spirit and an adherence to its core values, so I and my team joined Mishcon de Reya. This has been a great move as Mishcon has been one of the fastest growing law firms in London, winning numerous Law Firm of the Year awards, and being consistently ranked #1 as the best performing UK law firm in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work awards.Specialties: My practice focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and specifically on property-related corporate work, in which I have developed an expertise and have advised on deals world-wide with a value in excess of £1.5 billion. Recently, I have been advising football clubs on the sale process, acquiring Leeds United FC, selling Leyton Orient AFC and acquiring Bolton Wanderers FC on behalf of clients.
