QA Tester (Nov 2014 - Nov 2015)Oddschecker is an online betting odds comparison service which gives users direct access to the best prices from bookmakers for betting markets (In the UK, Australia, Denmark and Italy). I helped start up and implement testing via our desktop, mobile site and mobile applications (iOS and Android) in an agile environment which involved working closely with the development and content teams to make sure we delivered features and fixed bugs within the designated time frame. As well as writing up bugs found (via Phabricator), I also set up automation testing via Selenium Webdriver (in Java) and performance testing (JMeter) so tests could be run before a release to make sure there were no issues when it went live. Test Lead (Nov 2015 - Nov 2016)From Nov 2015 I was promoted to test lead which made me responsible for setting up a testing team who I had to prepare, manage and organise before each sprint to make sure we could deliver the product on time. I went about doing this by setting up bi-weekly meetings to discuss testing with the team and how to progress going forward.

I was involved in several projects, which involved mobile testing (iOS), browser, regression and functional testing in an agile environment. I helped established a testing team within the company and tested the in-house software’s in a Agile development environment which managed cinemas in Europe. This involved writing up and executing test cases, several forms of testing including regression and functional (also using selenium IDE), communicating with different departments and managing the testing team from time to time. Cross platform testing was also conducted on these softwares.During my time here I also became a qualified ISTQB-ISB Foundation Software Tester

Outside Line are a digital agency company that help other companies with online campaigns, projects and websites. I was part of the IT department where I help set up and start the testing sector which tested websites, Facebook applications and e-mails before they were shown to the client and went live. Depending on what was being tested, planning would be carried out about how this website would be tested, what parts should be focused on in particular, asking developers and account managers several questions regarding purpose of website, what should customer achieve out of viewing website etc. Testing included browser compatibility, security issues, aggression testing, functionality testing, carrying out scenarios which customers of website may experience and writing up reports or issues I experienced whilst testing. Types of testing carried out include structured and exploratory testing. Mobile testing was also conducted if the client wanted their website to be mobile. Clients include Budweiser, Cravendale and Andy Murray.

Responsibilities also included on a part-time basis was operating the sick line where I was responsible for making sure all Coral shops in the south-west region were fully open and running on time and dealing with absences,. I left this job as the company were not offering any career progression so I had no choice but to leave.

This was a part-time role that was alongside my studies

My responsibilities included serving customer's drinks, food and taking customer's orders, checking stock, collecting glasses, re-stocking shelves and closing and opening the bar. I was made redundant due to the pub closing down

My Job involved sorting and delivering letters and packages to customers. I had to make sure the letters and packets were delivered to the right customers and were in perfect condition when delivered.
