Since 2008 I have been working as a product and technology trainer for Nissan North America and Nissan Canada's successful NissanBest program. Working with NNA and NCI, my responsibility is to develop and implement target training on product, technology, competitors and processes. Through personal contact with the dealers, my goal is to help dealers not only increase volume, but more importantly, assist them in learning how to provide their customers with the best sales experience possible. This training in turn helps the dealers achieve their goals, including manufacturer incentives that boost their profitability. For the past eight years, my responsibilities with Nissan have required me to work closely with all levels of dealership management, analyzing regional reports, encouraging and supporting the use of Nissan Sales and Service Way policies and procedures. For me, a key reason for my success in this program has been my ability to generate deep levels of trust and rapport with my dealers, which in turn has enabled me to not only fulfill my responsibilities to Nissan but include requests to handle auxiliary programs.
