Institutional Giving Manager
Current• Manage The Lawrence’s Grants & Contract team’s work and serve as the primary point of contact for all research administration and grants and contracts support questions. • Submit between 30-50 grant applications annually for federal, state, corporate, and foundation funders. This includes managing workflow, providing technical support, preparing documents and templates, giving editorial input, and keeping PIs on target for timely submission. • Write compelling and descriptive grant proposals to corporate and foundation funders; use clear and persuasive language to translate complex ideas and projects into accessible narratives.• Work across groups, collaborating with PIs and program personnel to strategically seek prospects and apply to new corporate, foundation, and government funding opportunities.• Serve on The Lawrence’s Proposal Development Support Team, working to ensure that proposals submitted are competitive, meet the criteria for a given solicitation, and get the internal support they need for successful submission, including organizing internal review panels.• Lead annual PI Professional Learning about applying for federal grants & issues of university compliance and serve as Co-Lead of The Lawrence’s Hoops & Hurdles professional learning sessions that help PIs navigate aspects of proposal writing, research, publication and working within the university.• Support proposal subaward partners with federal and university compliance as we move towards submitting more proposals with school district and non-profit community partners.• Supervise 1 full time Institutional Giving Associate and hire and train seasonal support staff to help with proposal submissions.
