Education Facilitator
CurrentAs an Education Facilitator at UC Berkeley's Lawrence Hall of Science, I work with learners of all ages, primarily elementary-aged children, to make science engaging and fun through hands-on, interactive experiences. My role involves facilitating inquiry-based learning in various exhibit spaces, from Design Quest and Making Music to the Ingenuity Challenges and Outdoor Nature Lab, all while ensuring the safety, accessibility, and functionality of the learning environments. I collaborate with a dedicated team of educators to deliver both structured and informal educational programs that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a deeper connection to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). In addition to these responsibilities, I also serve as a Planetarium Presenter, where my background as an astrophysics student allows me to lead interactive shows on topics such as traditions of the night sky, life under the ocean, basic astronomy, and the bodies of our solar system. My goal is to make astronomy and science both accessible and inspiring, blending storytelling with scientific concepts to create immersive, memorable learning experiences. Through reflective practice and a commitment to research-based pedagogy, I continuously strive to develop as an informal educator, helping visitors connect with science in meaningful ways.
