My role requires me to hold managerial oversight and responsibility for coordinating and managing individual adult safeguarding concerns and enquiries, including chairing adult safeguarding planning, and enquiry strategy meetings. I advise support and direct the allocated case responsible practitioner (and other involved practitioners) through the adult safeguarding process from concern to conclusion. I hold managerial oversight and take responsibility for ensuring practice complies with the requirements of the adult safeguarding procedures, and for ensuring high standards in operational and recording practice. I work in partnership with Team Managers and Service Managers, as appropriate, to coordinate enquires and manage risk in relation to allegations of abusive or neglectful practices in the community, institutional and service settings. I maintain close liaison and communication with other key partner services/agencies in the adult safeguarding process (e.g. Service Providers, Commissioning, CQC, Police, Health). In addition I work alongside the Operations Manager and other Lead Practitioners for Safeguarding Adults, and hold delegated responsibility for elements of the Safeguarding Adults strategy which involves development work, working across agencies, and contributing to projects.I promote constructive multi-agency working on a local level with partner agencies to raise awareness of Adult Safeguarding issues, and to promote effective multi-agency liaison and communication in the adult safeguarding process. I demonstrates a high level of professional competence in working with vulnerable people, with career long specialism in supporting adult with Learning Disability and Autism.
