I joined Jet Airways Cargo, as Duty Manager to handle Cargo Operations for both the Domestic and International / Bonded Cargo ex Kolkata.My primary responsibility was to look after smooth Cargo Operations at the station level.I found that, there were lot of gaps in the operations and I started to implement the same at the local level.I have done the 6 Day Dangerous Goods Training for the operators ( Cat 6- DGCA Approved) from Jet Airways, which was of great assistance for the Company in terms of Cargo transportation and acceptance.I was the trainer for the Cargo Automation Project initiated by Jet Airways Cargo Management.I had trained almost 200 staffs in the Cargo Automation Project.I was associated with the start of new overseas stations for Cargo Operations. ( ex. - HKG, DXB, PVG).With the introduction of e-commerce in India, we at Jet Airways Cargo played a vital role in the handling those crucial shipments from the e-commerce Customers. Today e-commerce is the most important business channel in India, with Customers looking for online Product booking and Delivery services , e-commerce is a real hit.

I was responsible for handling incoming calls at the US Process. I used to handle approx 110 -115 calls a day.Basically, assisting with queries from the Customers re their banking and credit card transactions.

I was responsible to handle the Cargo Customer Service and Cargo Operations functions at KLM.I used to handle the Customer queries , complete cargo bookings/reservations, followups , Tele-Sales, Supervision of ULD built-up and Cargo functions. Also, the cargo ramp functions on the Flight day.Additionally, I used t handle the local Cargo accounting ( such as- Daily Petty Cash handling, Agency payments and collection of Delivery Order Fees and deposit the same at the Company Bank Account).Also, Cargo Claims handling was an additional responsibility given to me.
