Created and launched the Sports Commission to expand the visitor economy. Successes included playing a key role in re-securing the WIAA Boys State Basketball Tournament, securing a multi-year agreement for Ironman Wisconsin - one of the first IM events in North America and a multi-year agreement to host the CrossFit Games. And, staging the successful Bucky on Parade in 2018, which resulted in over $1 million contributions to local charities.

Recruited to build the group sales team after the approval of Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center. After a successful year building a sales team, was promoted to President & CEO. Led the industry thru the opening of Monona Terrace with an exceptional array of confirmed events. Continued to build a strong resume of destination events for hotels, Monona Terrace and the Alliant Energy Center as well as building Madison's brand and reputation as a phenomenal place to live, work and visit. Restructured the organization and over 2 decades built an exceptional team of 40+ professionals (pre-pandemic), strong board of directors and well-respected organization. Secured the first multi-year agreement with the City of Madison, Dane County and Dane County Regional Airport.

Began as Convention Sales Executive and promoted to Associate Director of Sales. Was top sales person multiple years; secured several large, city-wide conventions including SBEPBQSA (x2), American Dietetic Association (x2), National Education Association, Radio Television News Directors. Served as key sales leader on the bid to host the Democratic National Convention and Presidential Debates.

Directed CVB for three years after which we merged with the Park City Chamber of Commerce. Highlights include building the organization from a staff of 1.5 to 15 FTE; hosting the International Winter Special Olympic Games and serving on the inaugural board of the Park City Film Festival which evolved into the Sundance Film Festival. Served on the first statewide group to explore hosting the Winter Olympics.

Hired as the first employee for The Yarrow - the first full service hotel in Park City. Directed pre-opening sales & marketing, followed by opening the hotel and continuing service in this capacity. At Hotel Utah focused on the group tour travel market, the promoted to convention sales.
