My stint at Molecular (COVID-19 Lab), Laboratory Medicine mainly focuses on processing individual/pooled samples from in house and different parts of the island for COVID-19 testing. Upon receiving the sample, we process and test the sample to generate results for reporting to the relevant government authorities. I am familiar and competent with various kits (AIT, LifeRiver, Qiagen EZ-1, GeneXpert, Hologic Panther, Cobas Roche 6800, Biofire Film Array) used for COVID-19 tests. In Molecular, I am well versed in processing the various samples for the wide range of commercial assays, routine assays and high complexity PCRs (Biofire/Cobas Roche 6800/Cobas Ampliprep/Cobas Taqman48/Rotor-Gene Q/EZ-1). Similarly at Microbiology, I am trained in sample processing across the different platforms and an array of tests. Some of which includes processing the various cultures/PCRs for different specimen types, rapid tests, sterility and environmental testing. These are some of the main roles listed but not limited to the above mentioned. With these skill sets - I am able to adapt and think quickly on my feet, being cross trained has also allowed me to fill in the gaps when needed especially during trying times due to manpower crunch.

I manage the daily operations within the studio, including receptionist work, answering to enquiries, organising classes, maintaining instructor schedules, handling student data and update social media platforms whenever possible. Together with my bosses and instructors, we hold events monthly and I design several simple infographics e.g. posters.

Having extensive training in various disciplines of dance, I was invited to teach the Beginner Hip Hop class for a semester at the Club as their resident instructor was away. Constant effective student engagement were crucial to facilitate the class as they were required to put up a performance in 10 weeks despite having minimal or no dance experience prior to classes. Additionally, creating a positive environment and experience for the students required strategic planning. Through my experience as an instructor, I have demonstrated professionalism and developed a keen eye to detail based on unique student profiles.

2015 was the year of the Institution's Silver Jubilee and the Student and Alumni Affairs Department contracted me to assist them until the end of their musical production, Crunch Time! Despite joining the organising team slightly later, I had no problems easing into the role and team dynamics. Working closely with the team and the Artistic Director, I was mainly tasked with administrative tasks related to and organising costumes for all the cast members, ticketing and communicating with other participating departments. I also participated in other administrative tasks of the department where possible, including reception, handling court and room hire bookings and data entry for future and archiving purposes.

Under the Corporate and Academic Affairs Department of Temasek Polytechnic, I was contracted for 6 months to assist with their annual project, 2015 Graduation Ceremony. My focus was to assist any administrative tasks required for the 2015 Graduation Ceremony apart from usual office administrative tasks. The main tasks included organising supplies and liasing with staff members of each School and participating volunteer student groups, assisting external vendors with set up, sorting and recording information which are important for archives in future. Working hand in hand with several departments within the Institution has honed my teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. As a result of several months of rigorous planning and consistent execution with the various departments, a total of approximately 5000 students graduated across 14 sessions held over 5 days.

My time at H&M has taught me the key values to creating a positive consumer experience. Working under the Women's department, my duties ranged from maintaining a clean and presentable floor of products, facilitating fitting rooms, returns or exchange of products, cash purchases to opening and closing the store for the day. Being in one of busiest and best selling stores across the nation, the fast paced environment has developed my multi-tasking and information retention skills fit for any customer oriented role.

Under the supervision of Dr Paul Licciardi, I completed a project titled "Determining the effectiveness of daily probiotic intake on salivary antibody levels". This was part of a larger clinical trial conducted at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute to examine the potential health benefits of probiotics. A highly robust and specific ELISA was developed for the quantitation of total IgG levels in human saliva samples collected over a period of 4 weeks.
