I’m licensed in California and Oregon as an LMFT. I’ve worked in educational settings with young children and as a university mental health counselor. I’m currently in private practice. My training (and life) led me to work with many struggling with disordered eating and body image. I’m paneled with most major medical insurance. I also offer consulting & coaching on occasion but am working towards getting my stories out into the world and get distracted from that more than I care to admit. I’m a storyteller at heart.These days my individual clients are primarily caregivers and helping professionals. I mostly see individuals and offer small ongoing/intimate cozy groups. People tend to stay in those groups ongoing and my hope is to create offerings that are more accessible somehow for more people in time. That may never happen, but I hope it does.I love to cook, garden and dream up new ideas. I have an old cranky cat that I spoil and he’s the studio mascot.The Heart Studio is my small LLC and offers small group community support designed to help restore the frayed telomeres mental health / medical helpers, caregivers & other empathetic people. Expressive Arts Activities will likely be offered in person again. Online mental health counseling and small group connection is what’s happening on ZOOM for the foreseeable future.Individual and small group psychotherapy, Bilateral drawing for healing trauma, Art Journaling, Ugly Craft Night Gatherings, Soulcollage© and UPcycle crafting restoration workshops for kind humans who need to recharge via arts & crafts. People make real friends here and practice self compassion & relaxation. Our helpers are exhausted. Time to nourish those who nourish everyone else.
