On completion of my graduate traineeship I was promoted to assistant web developer. My responsibilities increased to include training new staff, working on larger projects and having a greater input into the technology the team deploys. During my two years in this role I have vastly improved my coding skills, increased my knowledge of UX/UI design and ensured that my knowledge of current coding standards is continually updated.

My graduate traineeship allowed me to advance my coding skills and exposed me to new technologies. It also allowed me to gain knowledge of providing first and second line web and IT support to staff, students and external users. This is where the foundation of my web knowledge was built upon.

This experience has refined my people-skills, allowing me to communicate with individuals from a variety of trade backgrounds. I was able to handle workloads with competence and precision when the office was busy, as well as take initiative and pursue useful work when it was less so.

Whilst working at UAC Studios I advised on and discussed creative enterprises with high profile clients in a demanding and fast-paced setting. HTML and CSS formed part of everyday use and I have become highly confident in their application. I was involved in building and maintaining several websites - receiving designs from our Web Designer and translating these into dynamic and operational sites.
