    I started working for this company as the Systems Manager and worked my way up to the Managing Director and owner in 2005, after working in the industry of manufacturing, sales and human resources for this company for 4 years. In a totally male dominated industry - this wasn`t so easy I can tell you!I owned my own retail bespoke furniture manufacturing business from 2005 - 2009 which had to be liquidated due to the banks pulling my overdraft overnight (!) due to the recession. (Conveniently, the bank then got given 75% of the government guaranteed loan (DTI) payment - handy eh?!)However, going through that experience has made me a stronger, wiser and more determined person.Having worked my way up from Systems Manager to General Manager and then the owner of this retail and manufacturing outlet I have gained an insight to how businesses work and also how to adapt your management style when you need to.
