● Directs and manages Nurse Corps policy, practice, and career development for over 4000 active duty, reserve and civilian nurses globally.● Coordinates operational skillset and billet utilization across Navy and Marine Corps platforms ensuring optimal resourcing of specialties and adjusting for changing global demands.● Leads strategic efforts for the Corps ensuring alignment with Chief of Naval Operations and Navy Medicine efforts and advancing the nursing profession both within and outside the military setting.● Informs BUMED policy, programs and initiatives, as it relates to the nursing profession, High Reliability Organization efforts, and quality of care.● Identifies, mentors, and develops nurses for the Chief Nursing Officer, Executive Officer and Commanding Officer executive positions through numerous development and officer assignment programs.● Identifies and supports nursing science through research and evidenced based practice programs elevating professional standards.

● Ensures nursing practice, staffing, and policies are consistent with current standards optimizing patient safety and quality of care command wide.● Senior project officer for the CONUS Hospital Initiative implementing, monitoring, and reporting the transition of Naval Hospital Lemoore from a full service community hospital to an Ambulatory Surgical Center and Primary Care facility.● Member Board of Directors, provides input and implementation of strategic plan, ensuring dissemination and alignment of personnel, equipment, and operational requirements.

● Responsible for business practices, template development, clinic schedules, and performance measures of the largest Orthopedics clinic in the Navy.● Successfully managed access to care within Tricare Management Activity guidelines to 41 providers in 9 orthopedic specialties serving over 84,000 encounters annually.

Administratively responsible for policy development, adherence to national professional, Joint Commission standards, Department of Defense and Bureau of Medicine and Surgery regulations with respect to inpatient nursing care delivery. Responsible for professional development of 78 Navy active duty, GS and contract nurses assigned to the Directorate.
