Medical Education Coordinator
CurrentTo support the operational delivery and coordination of administrative aspects of undergraduate and post graduate medical education; developing efficient and effective systems to ensure medical education activity is maintained and developed in line with departmental objectives. Working closely with the medical education manager, developing effective communication approaches and relationships with staff across the organisation including medical consultants, trainees and students.•Coordinating the administration and recruitment for all teaching programmes for undergrad medical students and postgrad trainees.•Actively participating in all undergraduate and postgraduate inductions. Assisting with the coordination of postgraduate inductions courses:•Administering all specialty trainee, consultant and non-training grade doctor study leave funding requests and submissions of expenses. •Communicating with internal and external persons, bodies, organisations and any key personnel important to the tasks being undertaken, following organisational policies and procedures.•Providing the required information and reports to the medical education manager in accordance with HENW or any other monitoring body’s requirements. •Taking notes and minutes of meetings, both formal and informal.•Acting as principal administrator, gathering, analysing and presenting complex data, information and reports from a range of electronic sources ie Oracle Learning Management (OLM), Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and excel spreadsheets.•Planning, organising and co-ordinating a range of medical education activities, responding to changing requirements and a range of situations which may be quite complex. •Coordinating governance activities and reports relating to medical education. Including the implementation of policies and HENW requirements relating to medical education and working proactively in changes to the service to improve governance and standards of performance
