Employed as an Enterprise Development Officer at Birmingham City Council, delivering business advice and support to pre start-ups and SMEs throughout Birmingham. In March 2013, I decided to take voluntary redundancy to meet the increased demand for my freelance work as a Director of Rodborough Consultancy Ltd.In my last role, I worked on the City Council's £4.2 million Enterprise Catalyst Programme which aimed to raise entrepreneurial levels to help new businesses get started, and offered customised enterprise coaching and financial assistance. All KPI's were exceeded.My role also included the marketing of the City Council's enterprise agency "Business Insight" and developing a network of business support agencies that further supported this work. I was also the Lead Officer for Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) for Birmingham City Council for five years. The last GEW event I organised attracted 1000 plus participants ..
