Services and training Manager:Develop and implement funding strategy, specifically aimed at corporates and HNWI.Re-accredit Gender Links with the EDTP SETA and develop new course or source courses for accreditation. Accreditation was received until 2018 and 7 new courses were sourced at a very competitive rate.Re-brand existing projects and develop campaigns e.g. the Empower Women; End Violence Campaign was rebranded the Sunrise Campaign with associated infographics, video and internet based campaign aimed at the South African and American public.

Main project is LOTS (living on the streets) we are as a team ofor local NGO's, in the process of developing and fund raising to support existing and new projects which provide solutions with and for children and youth living on the streets. Working closely with Safe City another initive is the development of technology based pilot solutions to electricity theft and cable theft.As solutions are based on the latest technology considerable funds are required, though the loss to business and the municipality is 10 fold more than the solution.

• Responsible for the running of the Stepping Stones School which provides school preparation for 21 children below 6 years • Manage and fund the Cerebral Palsy therapy project which caters for 32 children in Pietermaritzburg and over 300 children in the Sisonke district • Ensure adherence to legal framework relating to children, the disabled, as well as usual fiscal requirements of a registered NPO • Primary responsibility for the planning and execution of the financial rescue plan and correction of historical management concerns.

Managing, planning and organising all aspects of Lifelines functions. Motivating the local strategic direction to meet the needs of local community crises/issues while aligning the centre with LifeLine Southern Africa’s accreditation criteria and branding requirements. Staying informed on new trends, legal requirements and CSO & state developments, and keeping the board informed and the organization current.Implementing, planning and directing the fundraising for the organization. Sourcing, conceptualizing and writing proposals to national and international donors, as well to Children in Distress Network (CINDI), Aids Foundation of South Africa (AFSA), and LifeLine Southern Africa. Planning and promoting the retention of unallocated funds for future sustainability. Ensuring the organization has appropriate governance structures to enable it to meet the criteria of large international donors and local consortiums. Appoint and supervise appropriate staff to implement projects per contract. Develop monitoring and evaluation tools and submit accurate reports as per donor contracts. Develop training and volunteer programs to meet the counselling requirements of the organization. This included formal human resource interventions and the recruitment and motivation of volunteers. Local and provincial networking with relevant stakeholders and government departments. Internal and external public relations. Media response and liaison, including local lobby and advocacy work in relation to gender based violence. Occasional national magazine contributions. Introduced and piloted community dialogue approach in Msinga with funding from the United Nations. Expanded this project to Greater Edendale Valley with funding from the Ford Foundation.
