I am extremely fortunate to be able to combine my passion for technology in both professional and research roles as General Manager for D365 CE and Modern Work and research towards my PhD.In my professional career, our practice specialises in implementing a wide range of technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem. With a focus on Dynamics 365 CE, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, MS Teams, and the Power Suite, I have developed extensive expertise in these areas, primarily within the finance, legal, accounting, government, and defence sectors.Known for my commitment to delivering exceptional results, maintaining high quality standards, and working diligently, I ensure that project releases are completed on time. I take pride in assembling outstanding teams that consistently deliver impressive solutions. I explore the integration of smart cities, AI, IoT, and smart devices to address challenges like diminished cognitive abilities, specifically in areas of spatial and situational awareness and how we can enhance independent living.Key areas of my research include:* Smart Cities: Enhancing urban infrastructure to support older adults with intelligent and responsive systems.* AI and IoT: Leveraging connected devices and personalised AI to provide for ease and safety.* Smart Devices: Evolving technologies that assist with improving safety and reducing isolation.By combining insights from urban planning, gerontology, and technology, I hope to contribute to future age-friendly cities where older adults can thrive.
