General ManagerJefferson Street Inn Nov 2005 - PresentI direct operations for 100-room boutique hotel with meeting and conference space in a multi-use building with office space tenants, residential and retail components.* Brought on board to implement standard operating procedures in a new property that had opened six months previously. The challenge was to implement start-up procedures and training a property that was already operating. I evaluated building functions and operations, created standards & procedures. To create a cohesive staff and teach them to be responsive to customers, I designed staff training procedures for each area of hotel operations and troubleshot multiple building and guest relations issues.* Served in a key role of major hotel expansion in 2006, planning and designing a new 38-room addition with expanded banquet space in a strategically designed building with new kitchen elements, back of house serving space and preparation space. I worked cohesively with architects and contractors to create operationally efficient features that aesthetically have the "Wow" factor.* Managed hotel operations during construction phase with fully operational hotel while major renovations were happening with redesign and structural changes.* Property achieved Travel Green Wisconsin affiliation by exemplifying Green standards for operations.
