For many companies, the business cannot operate without a workforce. Vast experience gained building several businesses from the ground up, in specialised fields with unique skills requirements for industry and governments, "grow your own" strategies have been absolutely necessary, then and equally today. Therefore, it is imperative to continually invest in our workforce, their training, development and knowledge, vital to the success and sustainment of any business.The role of ISACNT provides an independent voice of the Northern Territory industry, their workforce, skills and training demand to the Northern Territory Government. With a skills and industry-based board, I lead the organisation and a team of talented individuals who engage and consult with industry Territory-wide to understand Territory businesses' workforce challenges, skills, and training needs. Providing strategic advice to Government on skills in demand, future workforce requirements to support policy development and program initiatives to build and sustain workforce capability in the NT. With a remit to the National agenda, training products fit for purpose and suitability for NT business, ISACNT carries the messages from Industry to Governments and National frameworks.
