Drawing on my many years of clinical nursing experience, I focus my legal practice primarily on medical malpractice defense. I am responsible for developing and preparing all aspects of a defense in complex medical malpractice litigation on behalf of a variety of healthcare clients, including physicians, nurses and other healthcare personnel, as well as hospitals, multi-site healthcare systems and physicians' practice groups. I practiced as a Registered Nurse for approximately 10 years, principally in the area of Maternal-Newborn Services, and was certified in Inpatient Obstetrics. This nursing experience provides me with special skills and insight which are of great assistance to my clients, both substantively and emotionally. I also have administrative nursing experience which provides further insight into the workings of a hospital setting. This unique experience provides an advantage in the investigation, discovery and trial phases of litigation. My clinical experience in the Labor & Delivery setting, makes me particularly suited for, and successful in, handling obstetrics cases. However, my practice is not limited to brain damaged baby cases. I handle cases across the wide spectrum of medical care and practice, including matters involving catastrophic injury and death with plaintiff demands in the tens of millions of dollars, stemming from emergency department care, surgical care, oncology and other specialty areas of practice.
Listed skills include Medical Malpractice, Trials, Civil Litigation, Depositions, and 37 others.
