Debi Olson is a Drafting Lead at Avista Utilities Inc. at Avista. She possess expertise in autocad, power distribution, electric power, power systems, smart grid and 18 more skills. Colleagues describe her as "I have worked closely with Debi on many projects over the past 10 years and consider her to be an invaluable part of the design team. I frequently request that she be assign to my structural steel projects because of her attention to detail and ability to understand and identify design issues as a part of her work. During the recent upgrade of Avista Substation structures, Debi used AutoCAD’s 3D modeling capability on beams that connected at compound angles to ensure that bolt holes aligned correctly. Avista realized a cost savings in the fabrication shop because the accuracy and detail of the resulting drawings. Debi has been able to do this for us on several structures that have been assembled without issue in the field. I have also been impressed with Debi’s leadership skills. She takes an active role in developing and maintain Avista CAD standards, testing new versions of software and conducting training on both for the other CAD users at Avista. Debi is able to multi-task and prioritize work her with little supervision. She has exceptional communication skills between herself and the other members of her team. Besides being a great technical drafter, Debi is an exceptional individual who has and will continue to succeed and whatever she puts her mind too. "
