Recruited to formulate and execute targeted governmental and community relations strategies on transportation, water and housing issues, and identify mutual interests.* Built and enriched strong and effective local and state relationships across the Chicagoland area through outreach, networking, and participating in numerous municipal meetings, moving mutual interests forward. * Collaborated with staff and Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) on Commute Options and successfully handed off the pilot program to IDOT. * Attended the NEIL transit taskforce and advised staff formulating MPC’s position and messaging. * Introduced legislative ideas to the General Assembly, such as performance measures and broadening the service sales tax for funding transportation.* Developed and shared a transportation caucus policy initiative to study effective ways to finance transportation and established bipartisan Illinois General Assembly co-chairs.
