Serve on Non Profit board for solid waste professionals for the state of Colorado (chapter for a national organization). Began serving on the board in September 2002 representing rural landfill operations throughout Colorado. Served as Secretary from 2003-2012 and as Vice President 2013-2015.

Manage 70 to 100 tpd landfill facility including composting, fiber/metals recycling, and construction demolition debris disposal. Develop and manage the annual operating budget. Provide a technical and professional resource for the community for solid waste issues including educational and public speaking. Coordinate with various local businesses and individuals as well as local, state, tribal and federal governmental agencies. Developed and implemented various efficiency programs including equipment maintenance tracking, accounting analysis, operational procedures, long range planning, and environmental monitoring protocols. In 2009 received American Public Works Association Colorado Chapter Award for Excellence for a Small Solid Waste Facility

Helped to form the association and served as the first executive director. Managed accounting and budget, newsletter, legislative testimony, training/testing and meeting plans for all facets of the solid waste profession in the state of South Dakota. Worked with federal, tribal, state, county, and municipal agencies as well as various non profit and for profit organizations.

As the county supervisor for Farmers Home Administration, now Rural Development Agency, responsible for Northeast Montana rural economic development including individual, partnership and corporate loans for housing, agricultural operations, business and industry loans and grants involving multi-jurisdictional and multi-agency coordination. Was first woman supervisor for the state of Montana.
