I came into the profession from the professional world and never took and education class. Sitting in on Deb's classes I learned new approaches to problems and marveled at her patience and ability to not only reach the students, but also engage them in a way that made them care about the instruction. She raised the bar not only for what she expected from students, but also what they should demand from themselves. As an art teacher she is truly skilled, and as an artist, she is equally proficient.
