My company makes handmade bags to fit needs of the local communities. I have made for and sold through consignment stores. My product line has sold/ is being sold at Archer’s in Poudre Canyon CO and at the Oregon coast in the Wednesday Market, a couple Organic grocery stores, via facebook to international customers and at EA Media both are in Waldport, OR. Another great partnership is with Lil’ Joe’s in Waldport, where I consign sewn and crocheted market totes. We have noticed that our products do not sell due to location and product presentation at our current locations, as well as they could. Similar products in other locations have sold better. The issue is location, traffic, hours of operations, and product presentation. We are looking to increase our sales and product line. By buying an established business, we are hoping to expand our ability to sell the custom hand bags/ other local made products. We are in the beginning stage of purchasing the business. I propose to sew mini back packs and slings to sell to ATV riders(season tourists). People use bags every day, and my company Deborah’s Tidal Creations is looking to take over the Coffee Spot in Lakeside Oregon to expand the offerings to better serve their customers. While we will still offer great coffee, we will also offer ATV gear which will make this hot spot just a touch more comfortable on the dunes. It is in the famous Oregon coast dunes that sees thousands of ATV enthusiasts each year. The coffee drive thru is located in the only city in Oregon permitting ATVs for vehicle use. The current proposed expansion only supplies typical products for a drive-up coffee shop. We are looking to expanding and adding our hand-made local products (sewn and carved wood, and pottery products). The hopeful purchase and expansion will supply more reason for the customer to return and increase our product sales. By owning our own Brick and Mortar, it allows us to have a greater control in presentation and client interactions and sales volume of different products based upon the need of the community versus handing control over to another person for consignment. By expanding, we gain control and flexibility and provide our little girls with a future business to run.
