I started in the industry in 1987 with Equity and Law. At first, having come from a building society background, I found the industry challenging especially as a female consultant in the 80's, but put myself through the FPC exams in 1989 when they first came out to better my knowledge. I also took brave steps to make myself uncomfortable by asking my advisers questions that I wasn't confident of being able to answer, but knew I could always find out. This approach made me top Consultant with them in 1990. That ethos has been my mantra throughout my 37 years in financial services. I am tenacious with a can do attitude and approach to everything I do. Adaptable to change and thrive when given a challenge. I have always been passionate about being respected and valued as an account manager and with my top Advisers I am seen as instrumental in part of their success. I develop true partnerships with the IFA's that I work alongside and help them to deliver the best outcomes for their clients' by supporting them with additional training and learning as the industry changes day to day.
