Recently worked to standardize Intermountain Healthcare's oncology nurse navigation and survivorship programs.I have enjoyed success in publishing within the nursing field. Co-editor of Oncology Nurse Navigation: Delivering Patient-Centered Care. Authored several book chapters and published manuscripts in Advances of Nursing Science, Journal of Palliative Care and Hospice, Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing, and the Journal of Clinical Pathways. I currently write case studies and self-care articles for ONS Voice, the Oncology Nursing Society news magazine.Continuing to conduct institutional research, publishing, and presenting my work will be ongoing. I also intend to perform research studies using the Health Change Trajectory Model (HCTM), a synthesis of two theories that I developed during my graduate program. The HCTM was published in Advances of Nursing Science Jan-Mar 2015 issue. In my current role as oncology patient navigator at Cancer Commons, I help empower people going through advanced cancer find potential treatment options. Cancer Commons works with oncologist and scientists who specialize in cancer treatment and research. Together, we support patients and families in locating and choosing their best individual options.
