I am an ASCP certified Medical Technologist who has worked as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist for more than 25 years. I have had the privilege of learning and growing in numerous different environments: a reference laboratory, a clinic laboratory, different sizes of urban and rural hospital laboratories and even a genetic research laboratory. I have spent most of my career as a generalist, and have experienced almost every stage of testing: ordering, specimen acquisition, processing, manual and automated testing, billing, coding, reporting and physician/clinical staff education.
