About Deborah Gardner

The most meaningful work happens in the intersections––between public health and social justice, persuasive writing and systems change, sustainable food and health equity, or climate change and maternal and child health, to name a few. I've gained experience and training in each of those areas separately, and I gain insights by finding and articulating how and why they connect.I have master's degrees in both public health and writing, and I have extensive experience in public health project management, writing and editing, program management, outreach, collaboration, and working for healthy, equitable communities and food systems. My writing focuses largely on public health, science, and food. I also write fiction, nonfiction, memoir, and humor.
