I am the nurse clinical leader at the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Facility in Columbus, Ohio. NCH is contracted by the state to run the clinic which is open 6 am-10:30 pm 7 days a week. I am responsible for a staff of 5 nurses, scheduling, ordering supplies for clinic on a monthly basis, act as liaison between the facility and hospital, and provide both primary and emergency care as needed to the youth in the facility.

I worked as a registered nurse in the ambulatory neurology clinic at NCH. I worked alongside providers in patient care areas as well as working as a phone triage nurse who was responsible for taking calls concerning seizures, headaches, test results and medication refills and routing messages to providers. I also participated in two BPI projects as well as precepted new nurses in the clinic and triage.

I taught high school science classes including biology, chemistry, health, and anatomy/physiology.
