I work to advance child and family health at the bedside as well as in community, payer, board room and public policy arenas. My approach is to translate evidence into practice and issues into action by elevating patient stories, applying behavior change strategies, educating providers, spotlighting key data findings, and building novel collaborations. Two themes characterize my academic work: (1) a focus on behavior change at the patient, provider, and health system levels; and (2) use of population health approaches to address high impact pediatric conditions, particularly those with intergenerational public health implications.
